Meet Dr. Shazia Billal

Shazia Billal, M.D.

Dr. Billal is our lead physician at High Tech Family Care. She has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership, and excellence in medicine.

With 19 years of professional experience, Dr. Billal has worked as a family physician at the High Tech Family Care and Women's Health Practice since 2006. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in preventive medicine. In her position, she is responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient services. She also conducts skin procedures, Pap smears, and biopsies.

In 2005, Dr. Billal completed an MD at Texas Tech University. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. When she is not working, she does volunteer work in her local community.

Attributing her success to her listening skills, she became involved in her profession through the inspiration of her father, a doctor. In the future, Dr. Billal intends to continue making efforts to improve health care within her community.

  • Texas Academy of Family Physicians  (TAFP) 54th Annual Research Presentation, held in Austin, TX in July 2003, earned 1st place    for best presentation and 3rd place for teaching instruction    on the topic "Gender Bias In the Occurrence of Pap Smear" and writing a research article on same topic.

Education

Dr. Shazia Billial graduated in 2005 from Texas Tech University Health Sciences with a degree in Family Practice and Community Medicine.   Before this, she attended Dow Medical College, Karachi University and earned her MBBS. She also received her registered license in Pakistan from Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
